Poet

Andrij Bondar 1974-...

country: Ukraine
language: Ukranian
Andriy Bondar [Ukraine, 1974] is considered to be one of the most popular poets of his generation. He has so far published three collections of poems. Apart from poetry, he writes columns and criticism, where he is also extremely successful. He has translated work by the Polish writer Witold Gombrowitz. His poems are at times hard and direct, at other times comical and full of self-ciriticm and self-irony – always, though, averse to idle sentiment.

Sunday 19 June, Little Hall, 21.30 hrs.
