Emad Fouad [Egypt, 1974] was born in the village of Al-Farouniya on the Nile Delta. He studied journalism at the university in Cairo and is at present continuing his studies in Ghent. He writes for various newspapers and periodicals and has so far published three collections of poetry, some poems of which have already been translated into English and German.
