Noel Rowe [Australia, 1951] became a priest after six years or so of study, after which he studied at the University of Sydney. His doctorate was on Australian Catholic poetry. During his studies, he began to write poetry, but his debut work Perhaps, after all did not appear until 1999. This was followed in 2004 by Next to nothing. His poetry can be called meditative and spiritual and is characterised by influences from Christian theology and Buddhism. Saturday 18 June, Main Hall, 21.30 hrs.
