alias Ewok was as MC member of the hiphop/rock formation Dwarf Project Crew. After gaining a BA in the humanities, with a major in English, Drama and Performance Studies, he has concentrated on the writing of his own texts. He has also interpreted the role of MacDuff in a performance of Shakespeare’s Macbeth and works as leading MC of the hiphop group Illuminating Shadows. In 2004, he won the SA Freestyle Battle Emceeing Championship in Capetown and appeared for the second time at Poetry Africa Festival. He is at present working on a hiphop musical that is to be produced in the second half of 2005. |
